Reuse and Recycle

I got this stool a while ago on craigslist for $10 to use as vanity stool. It had a pretty ugly green vinyl cover on the seat and I finally got around to recovering it! I recycled some fabric that I already had and got out my staple gun, some batting, and went to town. I can't decide if I want to paint the base or not. Any thoughts? I might just wait and see how the rest of our bedroom comes together. I would still like different curtains, wall art, and nightstands that aren't boxes...
