Here's my dilemma: I love letterpress, but it isn't a realistic process for me. Almost equally cool is screen printing. While screen printing is still a very involved process, it isn't completely out of reach like letterpress is. That being said... I wouldn't want to spend the time and money only to be unsuccessful - or more importantly, not enjoy it.
If only I were satisfied with digital printing.

WOW! So cool. I remember screen printing in high school -- it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI need to connect you with Adam who runs Ambrose in Holland. It's a screen-printer-by-night, youth-art-collaborative-by-day makery. You can read more here: http://joyandrevolution.com/. Adam could tell you everything you want to know about screen printing — and then some. I'm sure he'd even let you observe/participate in a printing if you wanted to.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, Becky!
ReplyDeleteWe'll see how serious I am about actually changing up my game plan...but I'll definitely take a look around the website and maybe I'll be on my way to getting more involved in the art community of Holland!
