The City Cristo
When I hear of a Cristo sandwich all I can think of is a gut-busting, calorie packed, deep fried sandwich. The City Cristo, however, at Crane's in the City - the downtown Holland branch of Crane's Orchard - is just the opposite. While it is certainly not fall anymore, this sandwich (paired with some cold apple cider) hit the spot: apple butter bread, provolone and turkey, apple slices, honey mustard dressing, toasted, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Yum!

We ate there today for the first time (though we've been going to the original in Fennville for years), and ordered this sandwich to split. We both kept saying "This is really good!" It started to get a little awkward, but we couldn't stop talking about it, between bites. We'll be back for another, for sure!
